Our team’s love for science and experimentation is what we want today’s children, tomorrow’s leaders, to also have. To make this a reality we have partnered with Teach for America to help get rockstar science and math educators in front of children across America.
WHAT IS IT?
TYVEK® is a synthetic material that was "discovered" by DUPONT™ in the 1950's and commercialized in the 60's. It looks and feels like paper, but is actually a brand of flashspun high-density polyethylene fibers.
The Light Wing started as a sketch in a notebook and quickly became a hand molded Tyvek shoe, and within weeks a rough factory prototype. Two years, and hundreds of prototypes later the impossibly light Light Wing series was validated by our successful Kickstarter.com launch.
You know it for the glitz and glam of “The Strip”, but we have been drawn to the desert not for the bright lights, but what is going on two miles down the road in the original Downtown.
