One year ago today we launched THE UT.LAB on Kickstarter. When we set out on the journey we had a small goal to bring THE UT.LAB to the Kickstarter community, with a hope that the community would appreciate our story and design. One year later we have have launched three styles, and are selling in over 58 countries. Thank you for all the support.

 

Rather than go through the guesswork of making projections as to what the market wanted, we decided Kickstarter.com would be the perfect venue for the community to tell us what they wanted, and how much they wanted it. In June 2013 we launched a Limited Edition set of our first non-prototype Light Wing Trainers.

 

GOAL REACHED IN 21 HOURS

In less than a day we reached our initial goal of selling 200 pairs of our Light Wing Pencil. It was the single largest day of commerce for the company up until that point.

In less than four weeks from our launch date on Kickstarter, a full eighteen days ahead of schedule, we sold out of our limited edition 2,013 pairs. A combination of an awesome community that was born from within Kickstarter, and amazing media coverage we successfully raised $142,000 to bring the Light Wing series to the world.
